Technical Consultant – Elastic Search
Australian Citizens with Baseline Security Clearance
As a Technical Consultant, you will provide technical expertise and hands-on support for the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Elastic platform. Your focus will be on strengthening the platform's health, stability, and security through activities such as detection rule development, machine learning optimization, troubleshooting, testing, and knowledge transfer. You will ensure the effective operation and ongoing improvement of the Elastic environment across search, observability, and security use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Elastic solutions to drive customer business value from our products
• Solution design, deployment, and integration of Elastic products and APIs, platform architecture, and capacity planning in mission-critical environments, in particular
• Configure and manage Elasticsearch clusters, including templates, indices, shards, and nodes.
• Monitor Elasticsearch performance metrics and optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain Logstash pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
• Data modelling, query development, and optimisation, cluster tuning, and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scale
• Set up and manage Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and alerts to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the development and IT operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Elastic Stack components.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to Elastic Stack configurations, processes, and procedures.

What will make you successful in this role?
• Must have or be eligible for an Australian Security Clearance
• Must hold a current Elastic Certification
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a consultant, working to deliver and execute on professional services engagements
• Must have two (2) unique customer case studies specific to completed Elastic consulting projects. Experience as a Software Engineer, System/Network Administrator, or DevOps Engineer
• Hands-on experience in on-prem systems and/or public/private cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack
• Hands-on experience in Linux
