The Business Services and Sustainability team is a small multiskilled team which provides support to the Directorate with procurement and contract activities; fleet; sustainability; security; property and facilities management (including management of physical facilities, predominantly through Infrastructure Canberra).
The Assistant Director Property, Security and Facilities will support the Director Property, Security and Facilities in providing the above services on behalf of the Directorate.
The successful candidate will be interested in working in business services / facility and security processes and enjoy working in partnership with others. You will be self-motivated, have sound judgement and the capacity to build relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Possession of a current ‘C’ class motor vehicle license.
- White card, Asbestos Awareness, Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Certification.
- Possession of a current AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
Notes: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Please note, this position will be located in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.

City and Environment Directorate was established on the 1 July 2025. This new directorate is an amalgamation of positions previously advertised under Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate and Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate.
