The Children, Youth and Families Division of Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) has a temporary vacancy for an experience Information Access Officer to join the team.
The Information Access Officer will undertake a range of supporting activities to manage requests for information, in particular made pursuant to Chapter 25 of the Children and Young People Act 2008 (‘CYPAct’). Duties can include the retrieval, filing and preparation of documents to facilitate the handling of information requests and litigation.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Experience and/or a desire to work in a community services environment is essential.
- Experience and/or a desire to work in a legal environment is essential.
- Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office products and database systems is essential.
- Experience in the preparation of court documents and knowledge of the court and tribunal system and relevant procedures is desirable.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 may be required. - Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A merit pool or merit list may be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
